Congratulations to Tobias Pauli, one of the researchers of our chair, for his success in the ICIS 2019 “Paper-a-thon”!

As part of the “Paper-a-thon” at this year’s International Conference on Information Systems (ICIS), Tobias Pauli from the Chair of Digital Industrial Service Systems, and Yanpei Lin from The University of Queensland, Australia, worked together on “Generativity of Industrial IoT Platforms”. After a final pitch, their paper was selected as one of the winners along with two others from a set of 14 papers by a committee of senior editors, led by the editor-in-chief of the Journal of the Association for Information Systems. As a result, their work is not only included in the conference proceedings but also entitled to a fast-tracked review process for journal publication.

The ICIS is the most prominent global conference in Information Systems and ranked “A” in the VHB-Jourqual. The conference provides the opportunity for information systems researchers from all over the world to come together and discuss cutting-edge research. This year, it was held in Munich from December 14 to 18. The “Paper-a-thon” challenge has been kicked off at ICIS 2017 and it has been held annually since then. The aim is to encourage new research collaborations, to support scholars to advance their research ideas while networking and to expedite the publication process for the most promising projects.
