Research
As a Chair of Business Informatics, we research service-oriented value creation, business processes, and data-driven analysis and decision-making systems. In this context, we develop and evaluate methods and software prototypes for process mining, AI-supported process monitoring, and smart services in close collaboration with partners from industry and public administration, aiming to measurably improve information processing and decision-making in organizations.

Our Early-Career Researchers
Supporting early-career researchers is a central concern of our chair. We provide young researchers with an inspiring environment where they can develop their own ideas, work on challenging questions, and advance their academic profile. By involving them in ongoing research projects and offering diverse opportunities for national and international networking, we create optimal conditions for a successful doctoral degree.
Our doctoral researchers make an important contribution to the advancement of the field with their work and play a key role in shaping the research agenda of the chair.
